They picked and picked and picked and picked on Hillary's every word, look, gesture.  The 2 commentators on CNN’s Election 2008 are so obviously biased to Obama mania portrayed so perfectly by the SNL parody a few weeks ago. CNN, you have done it. You alone have defeated Hillary Clinton, despite her popularity with Republicans and Democrats and the majority of Americans. I am a Democrat and always have been, but I am one woman who will not vote for Obama.  If Hillary is on the ballot in November, I will vote for her. If she is not on the ballot, I have to vote for John McCain, to protest. CNN.  Today, your said Hillary supporters are not voting, but you must know we are voting for anyone but Obama.   Let’s teach CNN a lesson, vote for John McCain unless the DLC agrees to put Hillary on the ballot in November. CNN, you are losing viewers because of your bias.  America is going to wake up and smell the coffee on election day, and all those college kids who are on the Obamarama ride, when they are alone in the voting booth, they are not going to vote for him, they will vote for any other person on the ballot for President. From SRH: I have noticed that Youtube is removing more and more political videos, closing accounts and stifling free speech lately. They allow all kinds of garbage on youtube, but seem to be stifling political commentary. I wonder if you or anyone else on your site has noticed this. I use youtube to post info about your website quite a bit and wonder if they will close down my account soon like a lot of other people's accounts are being closed. We may have fewer forums to get the message about this man out soon. It is troublesome. Also, I have seen people complaining that their AOL accts were closed.
We are losing our Freedom of Speech already, if this man is elected we are totally screwed.

TO THE POWER'S TO BE AT THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS:
I am writing you this morning as a concerned American. I am highly upset, confused, irate, disappointed, appalled and many other things over the shape our country is in and also about this election and the corruption that appears to be going on during this political season.
This person is virtually unknown in the political arena and what is known about him isn't that great. His voting record is lacking and he is the most liberal member of the Senate. He is a smart man, he is good looking, he is an excellent orator and he has captivated the hearts and minds of many Americans. Those are not the qualities we should be looking for in our President. There have been so many rumors about him. The rumor that concerns me most of all is the one that is in the Globe Magazine, which you can see below on the page I have copied.
The point I am making is to either force Barack Obama to address these charges and deny or admit the validity of them. Ignoring this will not make it go away. Larry Sinclair is not giving up on this. Ask yourself two things. First of all, why would anyone subject himself, his family and his friends to death threats over something if it were not true? Secondly, do we really want the DNC to push for Obama to be the Democratic nominee for President of the United States of America and possibly be elected to the highest office in our land, only to find out too late that this is true. Remember the furor over President Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky? I believe with all my heart that had this happened prior to his being elected he never would have served a day as President of the United States.

This man has filed a Court case in Washington, and his Attorney is Montgomery B. Sibley and you can verify this by calling him at 301-251-5200. I have spoken to Mr. Sibley personally and he had hoped to have the evidence needed to release this to the main stream media, whom I am sure wouldn't report it, but would try to hide it from the American people. The Judge signed the order for Mr. Sibley to subpoena discovery and those subpoenas were all served. The Court case lays out the allegation's of Mr. Sinclair about Senator Obama and the identity of 3 people that put out false and threatening You Tube Video's about and to Mr. Sinclair. This person is not going away. He has been trying to get what he calls the truth out since 2007 about Senator Obama and he has not asked any one for any money or payoffs. He has been saying all along that all he wants is the truth to come out. He is receiving serious death threats, as is his Mother, other family member's, friends and neighbors. People are calling him all kinds of name and writing all kinds of horrible remarks, yet the continues to hang in there in hopes of making sure we don't elect a President that is tainted. What I don't understand is that Mr. Sinclair appeared on Puerto Rico's most popular TV talk show and immediately after he was on an Attorney representing the Obama Campaign immediately did a telephone interview with the show and called Mr. Sinclair a liar and a very sick man. If the Obama Campaign was so worried about it in Puerto Rico, then why aren't they worried about it here in the USA??? Why is it that they had an Attornery respond to these allegations there, but not here? I think that this is something that needs to be thought about, in conjunction with his electibility in November.

With the shape our country is in, we need someone who is strong, determined and passionate about leading our country out of the worst condition I can ever remember it being in.

Barack Obama continues to ignore the Larry Sinclair situation. Millions of Americans know about this because it is all over the internet and has been in both The National Enquirer and The Globe Magazines. Many people think these magazines are just trash, but history will prove that many times these magazines were the first to report real news. Example, Gary Dourdan, actor on CSI was reported to have a drug problem in one of these magazines. Within a short time this was proven to be true as he was arrested on drug charges and fired from the television show. You can bet your boots that the DNC is trying to hide the Larry Sinclair story even though it is out there for the world to see, by trying to ignore it. Most of the world knows about it anyway. They are ignoring it because it hasn't been reported on by the media, nor has anyone asked the question, but believe me they will eventually!

If these Larry Sinclair accusations are shown to be true, once again America will be the laughing stock of the world. Do you all want that on your shoulders?

Do you want to really risk a big surprise during this election? I surely hope not.
Don't be caught with your pants down over this. Do the right thing. Do the American thing. Stop the pandering to Barack Obama and his ga-ga eyed cultists and the African-Americans who are voting for him just because he is black. Do what is best for our country.

I just wanted to write you a note and let you know that neither myself nor my family would be voting for you now or ever. It would have to be a cold day in Hell before that would ever happen. You see, I don't like you or Senator Clinton, but if I had to choose between the two of you it would most definitely be her. But seeing as how I am a registered Republican, I don't foresee that ever taking place. Sorry.

My next comment has to do with your claim of being a Christian. You see, I just don't see that as being a true reality. Let's just say, for the sake of argument, that you actually think that that is a true statement. If so, you ought to be fairly versed in what the Bible has to say. You do know what the Bible is and what it stands for? Right? Anyway, back to my second point. To me, and several other people that I have come across, you are about as much a Christian as Fidel Castro is. Simply because, the Bible, you know, God's Holy word, states that you cannot serve two Gods. For instance as Christians serve Christ and His Father God as their God and Muslims serve Muhammad or Allah as their God. The two are not equally interchangeable. They are one in the same God. Tell your precious Rev. Jeremiah Wright to put that in his pipe & smoke it. What I am trying to say is that one cannot be a Muslim and a Christian at the same time.

I have read your wife's comments about this being the first time she has actually been proud of being an American. If that's the case and she is so terribly ashamed of this country, then she should, by all means, find herself another country where she can live and be proud of being part of that society, because we certainly don't need her kind in this country. And, yes, before you start to wonder, let me clear up any doubt for you. I am white and quite proud of it. You see, I am at home and on Social Security Disability, you know the government funds that you voted to give to illegal immigrants. It took me two long years with absolutely no income other than my husbands to support us simply because I was the wrong color. So don;t even start playing the racial card with me. You will absolutely not get any sympathy from me at all! See I had to hire a frapping lawyer to get money that was rightfully mine that I had worked for nearly twenty years paying into the government and had to pay him a third of the settlement that I wound up getting. Now you want to talk about fairness? What about that shows any fairness? Absolutely nothing. I hope you absolutely get the snot beat out of you at the DNC. And if by some slight miracle you should get the nomination, I hope John McCain beats the living daylights out of you and that you are never allowed to run for public office again. There has to be some evil cartel at work out there. I can understand Muslims being involved, but why are so many of our own political figures actively promoting this diabolical movement?
I noticed that one of the few sound minds left on the media is Pat Buchanan.

There are many of us who are alarmed at what is taking place in our election process.
We are being sold out with a lot of blather about party unity. How can we stop this mass hysteria and save our country?

First of all, I am very glad I found your very insightful website. I live in Minnesota and caucused for Senator Hillary Clinton on Super Tuesday. If she becomes the nominee, I will dedicate as much time, energy, and money as I can to help her be elected the next president of the United States. I am a lifelong Democrat who has never even voted for a single Republican in my entire life. However, if Senator Obama does win the Democratic presidential nomination as the mainstream news media so desperately wants, I will either not vote for president or vote for Senator John McCain. I would rather endure four more years of policies I disagree with than have somebody like Senator Obama in the White House. Maybe, in 2012, a Democrat I like will win the nomination, and I can support him or her for president in the general election. I still plan to vote on Election Day 2008 for all the other Democrats that are on the ballot for Congressional, state, and local offices. However, I refuse to vote for Senator Obama. My mother, a lifelong Democrat like me, has also said that she will not vote for Senator Obama in November. There are so many reasons why I dislike Senator Obama that I could not even name them all. Before I mention some of the main reasons, I would just like to say that I am by no means a racist. My best friend in elementary school was African-American, my favorite co-worker at my summer job in high school was African-American, and I have also gotten along with countless other African-Americans. Even though I am white, Martin Luther King Jr. is probably my favorite person from history alongside Abraham Lincoln. I would be very excited to vote for the first African-American president, but, as Martin Luther King Jr. so eloquently said, I must judge a person based on the content of their character instead of the color of their skin. Here are just some of the reasons why I am very disgusted and offended by the content of Senator Obama's character: his arrogance, his smart-alecky personality, his anti-small-town "bitter" comments, his elitism, his wife's admitted absence of pride in America, his friendship with unrepentent terrorist Bill Ayers, his twenty-year relationship with his Anti-American pastor Jeremiah Wright, his lack of symbolic patriotism, his close ties with the criminal Tony Rezko, and his willingness to disenfranchise the voters of Michigan and Florida just so he can win the nomination. As a lifelong Democrat, I can remember how angry I was when George W. Bush stole the 2000 presidential election away from Al Gore. Well, eight years later, Senator Obama has stolen the Democratic presidential nomination away from my candidate, Senator Hillary Clinton. He will not allow the delegates from those two states to be seated unless they are split evenly and do not reflect the will of the voters. He had his friends in the legislatures in Michigan and Florida shut down any chances of redo-primaries in the two states. Redos would have been within DNC rules, so it is obvious Senator Obama just wanted to disenfranchise the voters of Michigan and Florida, so he could win the nomination. Like Bush, Obama is a cheater, and actually a more blatant one. As I said, there are many other reasons why I despise Senator Obama and refuse to vote for him. If I did not love the United States as much as I do, I would even consider moving to Canada just to escape an Obama presidency. Kenya's defeated presidential challenger Raila Odinga has claimed to be a cousin of Barack Obama and said that they had discussed his country's post-election violence.

Mr Odinga, 63, said that the US senator's father, from western Kenya's Luo tribe, was his maternal uncle.

"He has called me to talk about the destabilising constitutional crisis in this country, despite being in the middle of the very busy New Hampshire primary," Mr Odinga said yesterday.
Mr Obama's spokesman Robert Gibbs confirmed that the senator spoke to the Kenyan opposition leader on Monday afternoon for about five minutes before going into a rally in New Hampshire, according to Associated Press.
The Democrat would-be presidential candidate is also understood to have tried to speak to President Mwai Kibaki, whose victory in December 27 elections has been widely questioned.
Mr Obama has not commented on the Kenyan opposition leader's claim to be a relative.

Mr Obama's father, also named Barack Obama, won a scholarship to a university in Hawaii, where he met and married Mr Obama's American mother.
The two separated and Mr Obama's father returned to Kenya, where he worked as a government economist until he died in a car crash in 1982.
The US Democrat visited Kenya in August and made a speech that was televised live in which he touched on themes not normally debated openly in Kenya, criticizing the high-level corruption and the tribal politics that have dominated the country since its 1963 independence from Britain.
Since December 27 elections, Kenya has been rocked by tribal clashes which have left at least 600 people dead after President Mwai Kibaki claimed victory and opposition leader Raila Odinga declared the vote had been rigged.
International observers have noted "many irregularities" in the vote.
Mr Obama's uncle, Said Obama, said that his village, Kogela, in western Kenya, had been spared the violence and expressed his excitement as his US relative led polls in New Hampshires Democrat primaries.
"Ah, that's wonderful, but I don't want to jump just yet," Said Obama told AP.
If Barack Obama were in Kenya today, he would "work with the leadership to bring them to a round table and find a solution to the problems that have been ravaging the country", his uncle said.
Said Obama said his nephew "has proved to be a beacon of hope here and shown that even in difficult circumstances you can make it to the highest height of achievement with just determination and hard work".
Hopes that Kenya's two main political rivals would meet to stem the bloodshed were dashed last night when Mr Odinga rejected calls for talks without outside mediation.
He has dismissed an invitation to meet Mr Kibaki who has begun announcing his cabinet.

Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga has said he is a cousin of US presidential hopeful Barack Obama. Mr Odinga told the BBC's The World Today that Senator Obama's father was his maternal uncle. Mr Obama's father - a Kenyan also called Barack - met and married his American mother when they were students at the university of Hawaii.
Mr Obama has previously been identified as a distant cousin of Vice-President Dick Cheney.
Mr Obama's father came from the same Luo community as Mr Odinga.
The Kenyan leader made the statement in an interview in which he discussed foreign interest in the political turmoil in his country.

Obama's Criticism Irks Kenyan Government

(CBS) There are signs of tension between Sen. Barack Obama and African leaders. On Monday, Obama stepped up his criticism of government corruption in Kenya.

But as CBS 2 Political Editor Mike Flannery reports, the government fired back, saying Obama is a stooge for an opposing political party.

A surprise raid that seized and burned copies of Kenya's oldest newspaper, The Standard, still prompts journalists there to call last March 2 the darkest day in the more than 100 years they've been publishing.

"For us as an institution, I think it was the lowest point in the history of this newspaper," News Editor Douglas Okwatch said.

It was because of that raid that Sen. Barack Obama went to the Standard's offices. He declared that democracy can't work without freedom of the press and freedom of information.

"It is not just a loss for the Standard. It's a loss for the people of Kenya. So my hope is that this is one episode that won't be repeated," Obama said.

At the University of Nairobi two hours later, the senator offered more pointed criticism, something he's done almost every day since arriving last week. After remaining largely silent, the government of President Mwai Kibaki is beginning to respond, suggesting that Obama may have fallen under the spell of opposition leader Raila Odinga.

A potential presidential candidate himself, Odinga's been at Obama's elbow here fairly often and is a member of the Obama family's Luo tribe.

"Sen. Obama has to look at critically about where he's receiving his advice from," said government spokesman Dr. Alfred Mutua. "Just because somebody, somewhere wants to run for president and is using Sen. Obama as his stooge, as his puppet to be able to get to where he wants to get to."

Stung by Obama's continuing criticism of corruption in Kenya, government spokesman Alfred Mutua placed an ad in several newspapers. He reasserted that no bribe money was extorted from CBS 2 News during a customs dispute at the Nairobi airport that has now been widely publicized here, calling it instead a case of miscommunication. The $840 was returned to CBS 2 after Obama complained. Mutua said it was legitimate customs duties, but he could not explain why we were charged double the maximum amount allowed under Kenyan law.

The next stop on Obama's African journey is a wildlife safari at the Masai Game Reserve.

Sen. Barack Obama, whose father is from Kenya, travels to Africa -- and the village where his father lived -- in August on a trip designed to highlight the importance of the continent to the United States and the rest of the world.
Obama's itinerary for two weeks of travel starting mid-August includes stops in South Africa, Kenya, Sudan and possibly Congo -- holding the first elections in four decades later this month -- and Djibouti.
Robert Gibbs, Obama's spokesman, said the purpose of the trip is to underscore that the fate of African nations has an effect on the United States and other nations "especially when it comes to stable governments, terrorism, energy security and humanitarian crises such as genocide and AIDS.
"The trip, we also hope, will help further establish and improve on important relationships the United States has with two of the continent's largest countries in South Africa and Kenya, underscore the importance of the biggest election ever organized by the United Nations by visiting Congo, visiting troops stationed in Djibouti to combat international terrorists in the region and finally seeing what can be done about the genocide in Africa's largest country, Sudan.''
Obama plans meetings with government officials and speeches in Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa. The trip starts in Cape Town at Robben Island, the infamous prison where Nelson Mandela was jailed during the apartheid years. The Congo and Djibouti visits will be brief because of security issues. Sudan, grappling with the ongoing conflict in the western region of Darfur, will be the last stop.
Almost a week will be spent in Kenya, in Nairobi and the Masai Mara region.
It's not unusual for members of Congress to travel to African nations -- a House delegation was in Kenya last week, led by House Rules Committee Chairman Rep. David Dreier (R-Calif.). Dreier was in Kenya to observe the work of the U.S. House Democracy Assistance Commission, which helps new democracies establish government services.
But Obama's unique situation -- the only African American in the Senate -- a son of an African with family in Kenya whose popularity in the United States is soaring to the point where he is being talked about as a presidential candidate -- makes this journey special, a trip of symbolism as well as substance.
Obama is a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee panel on African Affairs. Obama, sworn into office in January 2005, in his freshman year visited Russia and other former Soviet states; Iraq, Kuwait, Israel and the West Bank.
The African trip has been planned for months and comes as Obama's high profile is set for another vault with the presidential talk and the massive publicity surrounding the October publication of his second book, which will include a chapter on Obama's foreign policy views.
The son of a father from Kenya and mother from Kansas, Obama barely knew his father, who left his family in Hawaii when Obama was a baby to attend Harvard, never to return.
Obama has visited his father's Nyanza Province in Kenya twice -- but never, obviously, as a U.S. senator.
Interest in Obama's homecoming will be enormous. Last week, Dreier, in Nairobi, made news by confirming the Obama visit to Kenya next month.
Dreier told the Kenyan press last Wednesday that Obama was "very enthused and looking forward to this opportunity to come back home to Kenya.''
Dreier said he talked with Obama before he left and "he asked me to carry greeting and regards to everyone here in Kenya.''

Envoy hits at Obama over graft remark

The Kenyan Government, through its Mission to the US, has condemned Senator Barack Obama’s remarks on Monday on rampant corruption.
In a letter to the Illinois Senator, the Kenyan Ambassador (designate) to the US, Mr Peter Oginga Ogego, termed Obama’s remarks as having been in bad taste and injurious to Kenya-US bilateral relations.
The statement said in part: "I hereby wish to communicate to you the displeasure and disappointment of the Government of Kenya, (Kenyan) Embassy in Washington DC, and majority of Kenyans, with regards to your recent utterances while in Kenya.
"Your unprovoked and uncalled for statements were in bad taste, particularly given that your visit was well arranged in advance, with full briefings given to your office in Washington DC by the Kenya Embassy."
Ogego said that, rather than nurture and strengthen the existing cordial and mutually beneficial relations between USA and Kenya, Mr Obama’s "wild" accusations that corruption and tribalism have reached a crisis point in Kenya, could only poison and injure relations between the two countries.
Ogego accused the Senator of deliberately twisting the truth about the Government’s fight against corruption to gain publicity.
"You deliberately, without real cause or reason, other than what appears (to be) to seek cheap publicity and inconsequential populism, chose to publicly attack the democratically elected Government of Kenya, in total disregard for the requisite protocol and acceptable methods to address the issues you raised, what with programmed appointments to meet Cabinet Ministers and even the Head of State, since your visit was official," Ogego said.
The Ambassador’s statement comes in the wake of divided opinions in the US concerning the Senator’s speech, made at the University of Nairobi on Monday. Obama identified corruption and ethnicity-based politics and patronage as among challenges that Kenya must overcome.
While most Kenyans hailed the speech and termed it as honest opinion and groundbreaking in the fight against corruption, some diplomatic experts have said that the Senator’s speech is likely to strain the relations between the Kenya and the US.
In his letter, copies of which were sent to the US State Department and the local and international press, Ogego said that, while Kenya genuinely appreciated the support it has received from the US Government through its different departments and groups in restoring institutions of public governance and the rule of law, the Government hoped that this support and engagements would be conducted in a more civil manner.
Ogego told the Senator that the Kenya Government considered his proclamation that the Government has lost war on corruption as a smack of bigotry.
He said: "Rather than appreciate and even encourage the gallant and heroic efforts that our Government and Kenyans have put in dismantling the deeply embedded networks and chains of corruption, you carelessly, in a manner akin to political activism, chose to trash and sneer at us".

SAN ANTONIO -- Top military and foreign policy advisers for Sen. Barack Obama on Sunday pointed to Obama's 2006 Africa trip as a significant foreign policy achievement. I covered his outreach to the leaders of South Africa, Kenya and Chad. It's worth a reprise in the context of Obama's presidential campaign.
With Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton running a stark ad in Texas claiming she is better prepared to handle a foreign policy crisis than Obama -- who better to answer that 3 a.m. call? -- Obama foreign policy adviser Susan Rice -- a former assistant secretary of state in the Clinton administration -- on a conference call with reporters downgraded Clinton's resume and extensive foreign travels.
While Obama was asking about Clinton's "precise foreign policy experience" on Sunday in Ohio, I'd rather focus on Obama since he is positioned to win the Democratic nomination -- Clinton needs landslides Tuesday in Ohio and Texas to catch up on the delegate count.
Rice said Obama's achievements -- other than legislative initiatives -- include his willingness to confront the leaders of South Africa and Kenya about problems that were devastating their nations.
On the same call, retired Air Force Gen. Scott Gration, a top Obama military adviser who was glued to Obama's side during the African trip -- highlighted Obama's Nairobi speech where he deplored Kenya's tribalism and corruption -- a timely reminder, given the violence after Kenya's recent disputed election.
Obama left Washington on Aug. 18, 2006, to fly to Cape Town on an official congressional visit that would end Sept. 3 in Chad. What did he do?
Soon after arriving, Obama publicly criticized the South African government as being in "denial" for advocating nutritional treatments over medical alternatives to treat HIV/AIDS.
Obama slapped South African President Thabo Mbeki a day before he hoped to meet with him -- and the meeting never took place.
In Kenya, the land of his father, Obama was treated as a head of state, a Kenyan despite being an American and, even then, a potential presidential candidate. He urged Kenyans to move past their deeply rooted tribalism -- Obama's father was a Luo -- to form a new sort of Kenyan identity. Obama very publicly criticized the administration of Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki for not rooting out corruption.
There was no way Kibaki could deny the wildly popular Obama a meeting, even if he wanted to. Obama raised concerns about Kenya's lack of government transparency. Obama also appeared with opposition leader Raila Odinga -- a Luo -- who was running for president.
Violence erupted in Kenya in January after Kibaki and Odinga contested the election findings. Obama appealed for a negotiated settlement in a radio address broadcast in Kenya and has reached out to the major players.
After the Sudanese government stalled granting visas, Obama decided to travel instead to Chad to visit a refugee camp populated by people from the Darfur region of Sudan. Obama had a brief meeting with Chad President Idriss Deby Itno to talk about getting a U.N. force into Sudan. It never happened.

While I was away, reading about the appalling atrocities in Kenya in which churches were torched and dozens of Christians burned to death, I wondered whether any mainstream media would get the point. They didn’t. As far as I could see, the violence was universally ascribed to ‘tribal conflict’. But this isn’t the first time churches in Kenya have been torched, as you can read here (date unknown):

On 13 June, Muslims rioting over the arrest of one of their clerics torched five churches in Bura, Tana River district, not far from Mombasa in Kenya… As impunity equals permission, this is a serious issue of national significance at a time when Muslim tensions are rising to boiling point.

Anglican Archbishop David Gitari and an interfaith team confronted rioting Muslim youths armed with swords and clubs on December 1 in Nairobi, Kenya. In response to this attempt to quell Kenya's worst outbreak of violence between Christians and Muslims, the rioters pelted the archbishop and his team with rocks. Moderate Muslim leaders plucked Gitari from the mob and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for head injuries. ‘I survived only because Muslim leaders formed a human shield around me and in the process got more injured than myself,’ Gitari later said in local media reports.

Yet unaccountably there was no mention of this key fact in the media coverage of the post-election violence. Well, fancy! In the Christian Post, this article, (which was picked up by Stephen Pollard) written before the disputed election which led to the violence, put events in a rather more accurate context. Raila Odinga, it said, who was then the current presidential frontrunner, had promised to implement strict Islamic Sharia law if he received the Muslim vote and was elected president. Odinga had signed a secret memorandum of understanding with Sheikh Abdullahi Abdi, chairman of the National Leaders Forum, in which Odinga had allegedly stated his intention, if elected, to

‘within six months, rewrite the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Sharia as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions’.
The Evangelical Alliance of Kenya released a statement in which church leaders said Odinga
‘comes across as a presumptive Muslim president bent on forcing Islamic law, religion and culture down the throats of the Kenyan people in total disregard of the Constitutionally guaranteed rights of freedom of worship and equal protection of the law for all Kenyans.’
The Africa regional manager for International Christian Concern, Darara Gubo, said the agreement
‘undermines the secular nature of Kenya and opens a Pandora’s box of chaos and conflict similar to what happened in Nigeria and Sudan. This is not a stand-alone incident; rather, it is part of strategy to Islamize Eastern Africa and the Horn of Africa, through the introduction of Sharia law’.
Subsequently Joshua Hammer wrote a piece in the New York Times which, without going so far as to join up all the dots (please, this is the NYT!), nevertheless provided a hint of the same, ahem, context. Writing about sitting Kenyan MP Joseph Lekuton, he described his challenger, Godana Harugura, as
… a convert to fundamentalist Islam
who had reportedly raised money from Muslims along Kenya’s volatile border with Somalia by promising to
‘reclaim’ the region for Islam — and by attacking Lekuton for inviting Christian development groups into the area…Indeed, in the view of some of Lekuton’s supporters the election was shaping up to be a proxy confrontation between the West and Islam — a clash of civilizations in the Kenyan bush… A sizable, largely poor Muslim population concentrated along the coast — and proximity to the volatile states in the Horn of Africa, including Somalia and Sudan — have made Kenya especially vulnerable, in the views of counterterrorism experts, to the call for jihad. Since the early 1990s, the mosques of Mombasa and other towns have resonated with militant Islamic rhetoric. Radical imams have preached violence against Westerners, attacked the Kenyan government as the lackey of the United States and Israel and called for the implementation of Shariah. Members of the Qaeda cells that blew up the U.S. embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Aug. 7, 1998, were recruited in mosques near the Indian Ocean beaches where hundreds of thousands of Western tourists flock each year.

Apart from that, I have found plenty of worthy hand-wringing in the mainstream media about tribal violence between equally bloodthirsty Kenyan sectarian groups, but diddly squat about the Kenyan jihad and the remorseless creation of Africastan.

And now look at this on Atlas Shrugs which, after railing at the media for failing to report what is actually going on in Kenya, makes the following claim:
Raila Odinga has, in his own words, a 'close personal friendship' with Barrack Hussein Obama Junior.When Obama went to Kenya in August of 2006, he was hosted by Raila and spoke in praise of him at rallies in Nairobi: Obama's bias for his fellow Luo was so blatant that a Kenya government spokesman denounced Obama during his visit as Raila's ‘stooge.’
Oh dear. Maybe this is what Obama means by being the candidate of ‘change’.

Concerns Raised Over Alleged Vow to Enforce Islamic Law in Kenya

Raila Odinga, the current frontrunner in the upcoming presidential election in Kenya, has promised to implement strict Islamic Sharia law if he receives the Muslim vote in the predominantly Christian country and is elected president.
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) – signed on Aug. 29 by Sheikh Abdullahi Abdi, chairman of the National Leaders Forum (Namlef), and Odinga, presidential candidate from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) – was made public on Nov. 27.
According to International Christian Concern (ICC), however, there are in fact two versions of the MOU. The persecution watchdog group claims that Abdi and Odinga signed a private MOU which is very different from the one presented to the public.
In the secret version of the MOU, Odinga allegedly states his intention to, ”within six months, rewrite the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Sharia as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions” if elected, according to ICC.
Odinga is currently seen as the favorite for the election which takes place on Dec. 27.
In response to the revelations, the Evangelical Alliance of Kenya released a statement in which church leaders said Raila, in both MOUs, “comes across as a presumptive Muslim president bent on forcing Islamic law, religion and culture down the throats of the Kenyan people in total disregard of the Constitutionally guaranteed rights of freedom of worship and equal protection of the law for all Kenyans.”
The chairman of the Evangelical Alliance of Kenya, the Rev. Dr. Wellington Mutiso told ICC: ”Kenya should continue to be a secular state. Christians want a level playing ground where [Christians and Muslims] are treated equally.”
”We (Kenyan Christians) are opposed to any move at favoring a particular religious group by political parties,” he added.
Similarly, the ICC regional manager for Africa, Darara Gubo, said the agreement made with Muslim leaders “undermines the secular nature of Kenya and opens a Pandora’s box of chaos and conflict similar to what happened in Nigeria and Sudan.”
”This is not a stand-alone incident; rather, it is part of strategy to Islamize Eastern Africa and the Horn of Africa, through the introduction of Sharia law,” Gubo stated.
According to the CIA World Factbook, 45 percent of Kenyans claim to be Protestant, 33 percent claim to be Roman Catholic, and 10 percent claim to be Muslim while 10 percent adheres to indigenous beliefs. Estimates for the percentage of the population that adheres to Islam or indigenous beliefs vary widely, however.

OBAMA HAS BEEN PUBLICLY RATHER MUTE IN HIS PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN IN THE UNITED STATES REGARDING THE VIOLENCE IN KENYA AND HAS NEVER DISCLOSED HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH ODINGA TO THE PRESS, ALTHOUGH HE APPEARED PUBLICLY WITH ODINGA IN OBAMA'S AUGUST 2006 TRIP TO KENYAAT ODINGA CAMPAIGN RALLIES IN NAIROBI AND ELSEWHERE. OBAMA ON THAT TRIP WAS TREATED LIKE A HEAD OF STATE BY THE KENYAN GOVERNMENT. WHAT IS WIDELY KNOWN IN KENYA, BUT RECEIVED LITTLE ATTENTION HERE WAS THAT OBAMA BETRAYED THE KENYA GOVERNMENT, A STRONG AMERICAN ALLY IN EAST AFRICA, BY DELIVERING A POLITICAL "SUCKER PUNCH" TO THE GOVERNMENT IN OBAMA'S AUGUST 28, 2006 SPEECH DELIVERED TO A KENYAN NATIONAL TELEVISION AUDIENCE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI. THE KENYAN GOVERNMENT HAD PLANNED THE EVENT WITH OBAMA'S STAFF AND PROVIDED A NATIONWIDE PLATFORM FOR OBAMA TO ATTACK THE KIBAKI GOVERNMENT TO LAUNCH ODINGA'S AND OBAMA'S CANDIDACIES FOR PRESIDENT. IT WAS A HUGE PUBLICITY STUNT THAT ONLY BENEFITED OBAMA'S FIRST COUSIN ODINGA AND OBAMA'S OWN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDACY AT THE HUGE EXPENSE OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT. MANY OF US WHO HAVE TRAVELED TO AND DONE BUSINESS IN AFRICA AND THE MIDDLE EAST AND ARE WHO ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE HISTORY OF ENGLISH COLONIAL RULE IN INDIA AND AFRICA SEE THE OSAMA TELEVISED SPEECH AS THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE INSTABILITY IN KENYA TODAY. IT IS YET TO BE SEEN IF THE POWER SHARING AGREEMENT OF LAST WEEK WORKS OR IS JUST ANOTHER STEP ON THE ROAD TO CIVIL WAR IN A HERETOFORE FRAGILE, BUT PLURALISTIC DEMOCRACY.

With all the controversy continuing to swirl around the Obama/Wright relationship, an important question remains. What did Obama know and when did he know it? There have been many different versions of an answer to this question from Senator Obama, ranging from never hearing these sermons, to them being taken out of context, and yesterday when Obama said this was not the man he met 20 years ago.
A focal point is Wright being "uninvited" to the announcement of Obama’s presidential candidacy. In an interview with the New York Times, Wright had this recollection of the disinvitation, from RealClearPolitics:
"Mr. Wright said that in the phone conversation in which Mr. Obama disinvited him from a role in the announcement, Mr. Obama cited an article in Rolling Stone, "The Radical Roots of Barack Obama."
According to the pastor, Mr. Obama then told him, "You can get kind of rough in the sermons, so what we've decided is that it's best for you not to be out there in public."
The Rolling Stone article was from the February 22. 2007 issue and was entitled "The Radical Roots of Barack Obama", a title later changed to "Destiny’s Child." It contained excerpts from a sermon by Reverend Wright called 10 Essential Facts About America. Here are some of the "facts" mentioned by Wright:
Racism is alive and well. Racism is the American way.
Racism is how this country was founded, and how this country is still run.
No black man can ever be President.
No black woman will ever be considered for anything outside of what she can give with her body.
America is still the number one killer in the world.
We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns and the training professional killers.
We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority. And believe it more than we believe in God.

We supported Zionism shamelessly while ignoring the Palestinians, and branding anybody who spoke out against it as being anti-Semitic.
We do not care if poor black and brown children cannot read and kill each other senselessly
We started the AIDS virus, and now that it is out of control we still put more money in the military than in medicine. More money in hate than humanitarian concerns.
We are selfish, self-centered ego egotists, who are arrogant and ignorant.
Here was the Reverend’s closing line to the sermon:

In the debate in Philadelphia, when questioned about the disinvitation, Obama said:
"I've discussed this extensively. Reverend Wright is somebody who made controversial statements but they were not of the sort that we saw that offended so many Americans."
So if Senator Obama knew enough about Wright’s statements to uninvite him to his presidential announcement, why did he later say he never heard such statements? Here is a fact of my own, these words are nothing new. They reflect who Rev. Wright is and who he has always been. It all comes down to honesty and believability. Obama’s speech yesterday put some distance between him and Wright, but it would have been better to hear those words immediately after the controversial clips first surfaced. All the different variations on explaining them have only made this worse.

WRIGHT OPENLY PROCLAIMED THE THEOLOGY AND IDEOLOGY OF JAMES CONE IS THE THEOLOGY OF TRINITY UCC WHEN SPEAKING TO SEAN HANNITY IN THE OFTEN REPLAYED MARCH 2007 CABLE INTERVIEW WITH WRIGHT. THAT THEOLOGY IS AN AFRO-CENTRIC MIXTURE OF MARXIST IDEOLOGY PEPPERED WITH PURPORTED THEOLOGY. HERE ARE SOME OF JAMES CONE'S IDEOLOGICAL TEACHINGS, WHICH HAVE BEEN MISCHARACTERIZED AS THEOLOGY:

"If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy." (James Cone, quoted in William R Jones, 'Divine Racism," in African-American Religious Thought: An Anthology, ed. Cornel West, Eddie Glaube, 2003.)

James Cone, whom Rev Wright highly admires, goes on further: "Whiteness, as revealed in the history of America, is the expression of what is wrong with man. It is a symbol of man's depravity. God cannot be white even though white churches have portrayed him as white . . . When we can see a people who are controlled by an ideology of whiteness, then we know what reconciliation must mean. The coming of Christ means a denial of what we thought we were. It means destroying the white devil in us. Reconciliation to God means that white people are prepared to deny themselves (whiteness), take up the cross (blackness) and follow Christ (black ghetto)." (James Cone: Black Theology and Black Power, 1997.)

IT IS APPARENT THAT THE PRESS HAS NOT DONE ITS JOB IN EXPLORING BARACK OBAMA'S PROFESSED "BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY" AND HIS POLITICS. WHY? OBAMA HAS REPEATEDLY STRESSED HIS "CHRISTIANITY" AND HIS SPIRITUAL CONNECTION WITH WRIGHT AND HIS CHURCH, BUT THE PRESS HAS NOT DELVED INTO THE "BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY" PRACTICED BY OBAMA AND HIS WIFE MICHELLE FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS. HOW DOES OBAMA RECONCILE THE RACIST AND DIVISIVE HATRED ESPOUSED BY JAMES CONE AND PRACTICED BY JEREMIAH WRIGHT WITH OBAMA'S PUBLICLY PROFESSED VISION OF UNITY. IF OBAMA TRULY BELIEVES IN UNITING AMERICA WHY HAS HE NOT LEFT THE TRINITY UCC FOR ANOTHER CHRISTIAN CHURCH THAT PROMOTES UNITY. IS IT BECAUSE "OBAMA'S CHRISTIANITY " DOES NOT ACCEPT MORE INCLUSIVE CHRISTIAN SECTS THAT PROMOTE NON-AFRO-CENTRIC THEOLOGY.

OBAMA CLEVERLY TURNED AN ISSUE ABOUT HIS RELIGIOUS ASSOCIATIONS AND THEOLOGY INTO A DEBATE ON RACE. MOREOVER, THE PRESS WAS APPARENTLY SO BEGUILED BY OBAMA'S MARCH 18 SPEECH THAT NO MEMBER OF THE PRESS WOULD DELVE INTO THE INCONSISTENCIES PRESENTED BY OBAMA THE UNITY CANDIDATE AND OBAMA THE CONGREGANT OF AN AFRO-CENTRIC CHURCH. THAT IDEOLOGY, DISINGENUOUSLY LABELED AS "BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY," IS UNDENIABLY DIVISIVE AND RACIST. WHY WOULD A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE EMBRACE SUCH A PSEUDO-CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY? THE IDEOLOGY AND THEOLOGY OF TRINITY UCC IS AKIN TO THE QURAN'S MANY PASSAGES PROCLAIMING ISLAM AS THE ONLY TRUE RELIGION AND PROMOTING DIVISIVENESS WITH OTHER THEOLOGIES. SEE, E.G., QURAN, SURA 5: 51: "O you who believe, do not take certain Jews and Christians as allies; these are allies of one another. Those among you who ally themselves with these belong with them. GOD does not guide the transgressors. "

HOW CAN A PROFESSED "CHRISTIAN" WHO IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT ON A PROMISE OF UNITY PROCLAIMING, "THERE ARE NO RED STATES OR BLUE STATES, THERE IS ONLY THE UNITED STATES" BE ANYTHING BUT A SLICK IMPOSTOR IF HE HAS EMBRACED THE IDEOLOGY AND THEOLOGY OF JAMES CONE FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS? HERE IS WHAT A RESPECTED BLACK THEOLOGIAN HAS WRITTEN ON BLACK LIBERATION:

Black Liberation Is Marxist Liberation

One of the pillars of Obama's home church, Trinity United Church of Christ, is "economic parity." On the website, Trinity claims that God is not pleased with "America's economic mal-distribution." Among all of controversial comments by Jeremiah Wright the idea of massive wealth redistribution is the most alarming. The code language "economic parity" and references to "mal-distribution" is nothing more than channeling the twisted economic views of Karl Marx. Black liberation theologians have explicitly stated a preference for Marxism as an ethical framework for the black church because Marxist thought is predicated on a system of oppressor class (whites) versus victim class (blacks).

Black Liberation theologians James Cone and Cornel West have worked diligently to embed Marxist thought into the black church since the 1970s. For Cone, Marxism best addressed remedies to the condition of Blacks as victims of White oppression. In For My People, Cone explains that "the Christian faith does not possess in its nature the means for analyzing the structure of capitalism. Marxism as a tool of social analysis can disclose the gap between appearance and reality, and thereby help Christians to see how things really are."

In God of the Oppressed, Cone said that Marx's chief contribution is "his disclosure of the ideological character of bourgeois thought, indicating the connections between the 'ruling material force of society' and the 'ruling intellectual' force." Marx's thought is useful and attractive to Cone because it allows Black theologians to critique racism in America on the basis of power and revolution.

For Cone, integrating Marx into Black theology helps theologians see just how much social perceptions determine theological questions and conclusions. Moreover, these questions and answers are "largely a reflection of the material condition of a given society."

In 1979, Cornel West offered a critical integration of Marxism and Black theology in his essay, "Black Theology and Marxist Thought" because of the shared human experience of oppressed peoples as victims. West sees a strong correlation between Black theology and Marxist thought because "both focus on the plight of the exploited, oppressed and degraded peoples of the world, their relative powerlessness and possible empowerment." This common focus prompts West to call for "a serious dialogue between Black theologians and Marxist thinkers"--a dialogue that centers on the possibility of "mutually arrived-at political action."

In his book Prophesy Deliverance, West believes that by working together, Marxists and Black theologians can spearhead much-needed social change for those who are victims of oppression. He appreciates Marxism for its "notions of class struggle, social contradictions, historical specificity, and dialectical developments in history" that explain the role of power and wealth in bourgeois capitalist societies. A common perspective among Marxist thinkers is that bourgeois capitalism creates and perpetuates ruling-class domination--which, for Black theologians in America, means the domination and victimization of Blacks by Whites. American has been over run by "White racism within mainstream establishment churches and religious agencies," writes West.

Perhaps it is the Marxism imbedded in Obama's attending Trinity Church that should raise red flags. "Economic parity" and "distribution" language implies things like government-coerced wealth redistribution, perpetual minimum wage increases, government subsidized health care for all, and the like. One of the priorities listed on Obama's campaign website reads, "Obama will protect tax cuts for poor and middle class families, but he will reverse most of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest taxpayers."

Black Liberation Theology, originally intended to help the black community, may have actually hurt many blacks by promoting racial tension, victimology, and Marxism which ultimately leads to more oppression. As the failed "War on Poverty" has exposed, the best way to keep the blacks perpetually enslaved to government as "daddy" is to preach victimology, Marxism, and seduce blacks into thinking that upward mobility is someone else's responsibility in a free society.
